Admiring Heather / Beundrar ljung, 2026



Heather is the provincial flower of Västra Götaland. The postcard features a cyanotype print of the flower. The back of the postcard contains a love-inspired poem reflecting on the cyanotype photographic printing process and the place where the artwork was created.

A postcard is both artwork and message. It passes through hands, is sorted, postmarked, and travels across distances. When sent by mail, the journey becomes part of the work—the time, transport, and materiality leave traces in the image.

For this exhibition, photographers and visual artists have been invited to interpret the postcard format as an independent artistic form, intended to move through the world before it reaches the exhibition space.

Through the postal system, different geographies and practices are connected. The contributions come locally, nationally, and internationally. Each postcard is a link between places, practices, and people. Together, they form a miniature network, visible in the exhibition space.
