An experimental book design project exploring the misconception of green consumption, in relation to behavioural patterns of consumption and economic systems. Based on readings and a visual analysis of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs pyramid model (1943) and Stockholm Resilience Centre’s Planetary Boundary diagram (2009), the two models were combined together to create new shapes and a graphic language for the final book design.
This book design was made for a module that I took during my BFA degree: Typography IV: Publishing III – Global Economy & Visual Communication.
